Prince Edward Community Care offers over 50 online events each month for seniors 60+. Online Zoom fitness and arts classes along with socials and educational offerings are held Monday to Friday. Zoom webinars are scheduled with local speakers and activities.  Starting in August 2023 Community Care is offering 2 telephone chats per week.  To participate in these chats people don’t need to have a computer.  Get active, make friends, be well. 

Active Living Programs for September for seniors 60+ - available 5 days/week

Seniors 60+ are invited to get active, make friends, be well!  Prince Edward Community Care offers over 50 online events each month for seniors 60+. Online Zoom fitness and arts classes along with socials are held Monday to Friday. In October, the Zoom webinar topics include “Our Natural Heritage – Prince Edward County, A Natural Gem” and “Main Duck Island – The History, The Appeal” with Terry Sprague; and Virtual Bingo with Community Care staff.  Community Care now offers a phone only option for these zoom webinars – no computer is needed. New - Phone Chats – FREE for seniors 60+ - Membership not required

Community Care for Seniors is now offering phone-based programs to help seniors connect with others. Have fun playing Trivia on Friday, October 20th at 10am.  A computer is not required for this event. Fun with Flags In-Person event October 25th – Bloomfield

Join Rob Leek, amateur vexillologist, for Fun with Flags.  Learn about flags from across Canada and from around world.  There will be a discussion about heraldry and what makes a great flag design.  This in-person event will take place on Wednesday, October 25th at Bloomfield Town Hall, 289 Main Street at 1:00pm.  Registration is required. NEW – phone-in option for all Zoom Webinars

Prince Edward Community Care announces that people can now use their phone to participate in scheduled Zoom webinars.  No long-distance charges will be incurred.  Seniors can participate even if they don’t have a computer.  Just use your phone and listen to the guest speaker … or play bingo!  Give it a try.  To sign up call 613-476-7493.  www.communitycareforseniors.org

Seniors’ Information and Active Living Fair – November 2nd – Wellington & District Community Centre

Prince Edward Community Care is hosting the sixth annual FREE Seniors’ Information and Active Living Fair. There will be 50+ “vendors” from the community showcasing the services they offer, as well as presentations and demonstrations. This event is free and open to the public.  It starts at 10:00am with activities through to 3:00pm.  Organizers recommend planning to attend for the full day.  All are welcome! Door prizes, refreshments, healthy snacks and a free lunch (while supplies last) will be available. This free event is designed to promote active healthy living, social engagement, partnerships, independence, learning, and reduce social isolation, for seniors, their families and caregivers. The Fair will enhance accessibility and awareness of programs and services available in the area.
