The County Seniors’ Centre is proud to host a “Library Cart” for all to use. Books are provided courtesy of the County of Prince Edward Public Library & Archives. People are encouraged to enjoy the books, then feel free to pass on to a friend or return them to the Seniors’ Centre cart. This is one of many joint projects between Community Care and the Library. Community Care acquired 10 tablets and then gave them to the Library to manage loaning them to people who need them. Community Care volunteers deliver books to Library patrons. Library staff provide informational webinars to Community Care folks. In the photo, Community Care executive director, Debbie MacDonald Moynes watches Library CEO Barbara Sweet restock the cart. Barbara also discussed the joint project with Terry Sprague, Community Care volunteer. She then made an impromptu presentation to the Coffee Chat folks about the many programs and services available at all library branches. Stop into the County Seniors’ Centre for more information or to check the books on the cart. Read more about the Library at https://www.peclibrary.org/
