Seniors Luncheon Social - November 4th in Consecon

Help Community Care celebrate 30 years of providing noontime meals for seniors. Attend the Seniors Luncheon Social in Consecon on Wednesday, November 4th at 12 noon. Bill & Marni Grieve of Wheel House & Occasions Catering are preparing a menu of homemade soup, roast beef with gravy & horseradish, mashed potatoes, buttered corn, bread & butter, coleslaw, rice pudding, finished off with tea or coffee. Meet your friends and neighbours at the Seniors Luncheon Social. Attendance is by reservation only and you are asked to call 613-476-7493 to reserve your place by no later than 12 noon on the Monday prior. Bring your own plate, cup and cutlery. The cost is $10.00 for a tasty, high quality meal. 

Sophiasburgh Over 60's Club Dinner - Wednesday, November 11th
The Sophiasburgh Over 60's Club holds a monthly Dinner for Seniors in Demorestville at the Friendship United Church Hall and everyone is welcome.  The next event is Wednesday, November 11th at 12 noon. The meal is prepared by the ladies of the Demorestville Women’s Institute. The cost is $8.00 and attendance is by reservation only.  Call Peggy 613-476-3755 to reserve your place by no later than Monday at 12:00 noon. The Prince Edward County Community Care for Seniors Association arranges the after-dinner program. This month you will learn about Advance Care Planning with Joscelyn Matthewman, a nurse at the Prince Edward Family Health Team. Space is limited at this dinner. Call today.

55 ALIVE Mature Driving Classroom Refresher Course- November 19th
A 55-Alive safe driving course will be held on Thursday, November 19th in Picton sponsored by Prince Edward Community Care, and will run from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.  This is a driver retraining program was developed by the Canada Safety Council and is designed specifically to help older drivers improve their driving skills.  The cost is $30.00 per person, which includes workbook, refreshments and a light lunch.  Call 613-476-7493 to register or for more information.

Thrift Shop Jewellery Silent Auction - November 17 to 28th
Don’t miss the silent auction of numerous unusual and special jewellery  items that will be on display  at Prince Edward Community Care’s Thrift Shop at 281 Main St., Picton.  Bidding starts November 17th and closes at 3:00pm sharp on Saturday, November 28th.  100% of the funds raised support programs for seniors in Prince Edward County.

Thrift Shop Jewellery Silent Auction - December 1 to 12th
Due to the generosity of donors Prince Edward Community Care’s Thrift Shop is offering a second silent auction of various jewellery items,  that will be on  displayed at the Thrift Shop at 281 Main St., Picton.    Bidding starts December 1st  and closes at 3:00pm sharp on Saturday, December 12th.  100% of the funds raised support programs for seniors in Prince Edward County.
